  1. Nicely done! The lighting effect is outstanding.
    Bravo!

  2. Chris, thanks for the nice compliment.

This is based on a photo of one of the shops on Allen Street; two mannequins were setup at a table and I couldn’t resist using it as inspiration. I will post the original photo to show what changes I made to when I created the painting.
I took some liberties with one of the mannequins and modified him resemble a famous actor. I think I did a good enough job that I don’t need to mention who this person is.

I’m also working on a painting of the two horses that pull the stagecoach, this one will be posted in the next couple of weeks, it’s coming along quite nicely. I’m thinking about seeing if any of the Tombstone galleries might be interested in displaying my work.

  3. Hi, Naomi!

Yes, I recognized the mannequins straight away.
They are from the GHOSTS AND LEGENDS shop in Tombstone. I live near Tombstone and am there almost on a daily basis, so I am well familiar with your sources. You did an outstanding job recreating (and modifying!) them.
But, your lighting effect is actually better than the real thing!

    Keep up the fine work!

    All the best,
    Chris

  4. hmmmm…very interesting!
